Sinn – Tastic!!!

Sometimes we get watches in that corroborate the reason why we do what we do, and this is one of those watches. Excited to get this one on the site.

What we have here is a super rare Sinn EZM – 2 Hydro 3H GSG-9 Military Watch issued to the GSG – 9. So few of these come to market and especially not in this condition.

Issued to the Maritime Unit of the German Special Forces in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s, this one dates to 2000.

This earliest version of the “ Hydro “ model with the “ 3H “ on the dial denoting the tritium coating used on the hands and markers. Giving a lovely warm patina.

The Sinn Hydro is iconic as the case is filled with a clear silicone oil, which insures absolute reflection free readability underwater from any angle, prevents any fogging and provides extreme pressure water resistance and the ability to also work in extreme temperatures, from – 20 degrees to + 60 degrees.

Sinn has calculated that the watch could withstand depths of 5000m but Sinn in their typically understated manner have marked the caseback with a simple “Waterproof”

It has also just returned from a full service from Sinn in Germany. And it is now good for the next 8 years. A copy of the full service will come with the purchase of this amazing watch.

Don’t hold your breath too long on this one, it is truly a special piece. And there is not a better one currently on the market.
