What guarantee do you offer?

All watches have a 6 month guarantee at Patina Nationale. This covers the mechanics and workings of the watch. This does not cover wear and tear, scratches or damage to glass, or any other damage caused intentionally or unintentionally after receiving the watch.

If the watch has to be returned to us, it must be sent back in the same condition as it was received, securely packaged and recorded delivery. On receiving the watch back in this condition, the customer will be fully refunded the postage at a maximum of £25.

This maybe more if coming from abroad and will be confirmed individually to the customer. In rare cases abroad it maybe easier to get a local watchmaker to look at the watch. This again will be on a individual customer basis and will need to be confirmed by both parties before a price and work can proceed.

Certain brands and newer watches at Patina Nationale may still be in their own warranty, we are not responsible for each brands guarantees and guidelines, They are separate to that of Patina Nationale.

How quickly will I receive my watch after payment has been made?

We will at all times aim to get watches or accessory orders sent out within 48hrs of payment being cleared in the business. Whether that be online or bank transfer. Every customer will receive a confirmation email on their purchase outlining delivery times. If for any reason there is a delay the customer will always be notified and updated.

How will my watch be sent?

All orders will be sent 1st class tracked and recorded and will require a signature at the delivery address given by the customer. Any orders that are sent abroad and are liable for customs duty charges and any other added payments in that country are the customers responsibility and not that of Patina Nationale.

Is my vintage watch waterproof?

Whilst we do sell divers watches, we recommend that all vintage dive watches are not used in the water. Some of these watches are over 50 years old so need to be treated accordingly. Other watches on the website are much newer and some are New Old Stock and can be used in the water, it’s best to discuss this before purchase. If you decide you would like to use your vintage dive watch in the sea or pool then this would invalidate your 6 month guarantee. We recommend you use a quality watch maker in order to get your watch correctly water tested and all seals are correctly updated before you get near water.

How can I pay for my watch?

We have add to basket or if you would like a potentially quicker transaction we offer Bank Transfer. Please always contact Patina Nationale first before any Bank payment or agreement is made. The same applies to POA (Price on Application) please contact Patina Nationale for all price information.

Watch Servicing

We will always advise where possible on the last service the watch has undertaken, if we do not have that information we will advise the customer accordingly. We recommend that all vintage watches maintain a good service history at all times. After the 6 month guarantee expires the servicing will be the responsibility of the customer not that of Patina Nationale. We will at all times try to help our customers where possible.
