Mil Spec Icon!
Often referred to as the Breguet Type XII, this vintage mechanical dashboard clock was used in serving the French Air Force and other Military / Civilian fleet aircraft dating back to the 1950’s – 1980’s.
The Type 12 was one of the last mechanical aircraft clocks ever used, the slightly earlier Type 11 was a chronograph but the Type 12 uses a Valjoux 55 movement which has the Flyback Chronograph function.
This Type 12 design was used by 4 brands…..Breguet, Dodane, Sinn and Mathey Tissot, before being replaced by battery operated or electronic cockpit clocks.
Often featuring in tandem with Type XX pilot watches with both providing essential and precise navigation timing date.
This is just a lovely rare piece of military history made by one of the greatest watch brands ever, in simply incredible condition for its age.
