Who doesn’t love Aquastar!

A mainstay in most dive watch collections, and a brand that evoques memories of the great free divers and explorers including Jacques Cousteau and Jacques Mayol to name but a few.

The vintage Aquastar 63’s have attained iconic status due to the fact in the 60’s they were seen as one of the best divers you could find at that time. What with there 200m water resistance and inner rotating bezel activated directly by the crown. They were generally sold in specialised dive shops to serious divers.

This example in the gold plate reference is extremely rare especially in this condition which is absolutely mint. Although perfectly fine to be used as the dive watch it was made for, this option has obviously only been used in a dress environment. I genuinely don’t think I’ve seen a better example. This version comes on a chocolate leather croc strap.
