A personal favourite! Any watch that is associated with the legend that is Jacques Cousteau and his brand La Spirotechnique (Aqua Lung) is of huge interest to collectors (and me!).

This fantastic Doxa 600t from the 1980’s is a beauty. This is a rare watch, not just rare because this is an Aubry era Doxa, but even rarer with the Spirotechnique diver logo and branding. These rarely come to market as they tend to stay in dive watch collectors collections. The Aubry era was started in 1978 when Doxa was purchased by the Aubry Frères Company. Doxa models from the 80’s when Aubry Frères ran the company, are referred to as “ Aubry – era “ Doxas. They have a mythical status around this timescale as so little is known about about them apart from the fact they are much rarer to find than there earlier 60s and 70s cousins. Add in the Spirotechnique signed branding and you have a special watch.

Chunkier, thicker and more beefy than the earlier tonneau shape Doxa’s they look tough and strong. It looks a bit of a brute but wears fantastically well at 39mm. Mineral Crystal and a tritium dial finishes off this fantastic vintage dive watch. All original. Crown at 4pm.  (I chose to swap the OG crown for a new one in order to aid water resistance if required, but it will come with the original crown too).
