The legendary Jacques Bianchi brand, we here at PN love Bianchi, and the history the great man has in the watch world. Operating out of Marseille in France, Jacques Bianchi holds huge importance in the dive watch collecting world what with his expertise and association with so many iconic watch brands including Rolex, Aquastar and JLC etc.

Add in the fact that he was also a distributor of Aquastar and provided repair and regulation services for the Rolex Dive watches worn by COMEX professional divers and you get the idea of the status of the man.

So when he launched his own brand in the early 80s it was highly anticipated, it had its own very distinctive look, and with the help of his friends Jacques Cousteau and Jacques Mayol the legendary JB 200 Diver was born!

Featuring the legendary diver on the dial and the “Destro“ crown with the crown at 9‘O Clock. Also 200m water resistant it was a serious piece of kit. With it becoming a favourite of the French Navy in the 1980’s. And issued to combat divers.

This new updated version of the JB200 is called the Poulpro and features the stunning Mediterranean blue dial with the Octopus on the dial replacing the diver.

This comes on a blue rubber tropic like strap which is extremely comfortable and part of the full set it also comes with a beige perlon strap too.

As I mentioned earlier I am slightly bias towards anything Bianchi as I own one myself but there aren’t many better looking dive watches than this one, plus add in the history and it really is hard to top.

A must for any collector or Bianchi fan….!
