Personal Opinion
The Monster! Love or hate it there no mistaking the Seiko Monster. This high quality dive watch from Seiko was way before the monolithic Prospex family that now dominates the market. First launched in 2000 and discontinued in 2012 this Seiko Monster SKX779 has a cult following in the Seiko collectors market. Whilst this is a big watch it still works so well. I am not blessed with a large wrist (6.75 inches) and it fits me just fine. I think this watch has been overlooked as the Orange and Yellow dial versions are more popular but this understated black dial is a sleeper. Whilst this watch will always have its critics I absolutely love it. It’s handsome and it’s rugged but most of all it’s supercool. This 2003 version is in fantastic used condition and comes fitted with a khaki nato. Its running well and has its own Seiko box too. You will do well to find a better version at this price. Winner!
