Very few case shapes are instantly recognisable in the Watch world, but the Blancpain Bund Fifty Fathoms is definitely one of them.

We always hear about the usual suspects in the dive watch world, and what they have done and achieved, but there is so much to like and learn about in other dive watch brands too. And also one with such an iconic history. Enter Squale!

For me the definition of a sleeper brand, loved and adored by collectors and enthusiasts around the globe but maybe not as commercially well known as it should be with such a glittering watch history. One of my all time favourite dive watch brands. And responsible for producing one of the great military dive watch cases of all time.

A quick dig into their history will confirm and tell you everything you need to know about Squale, not only did they make their own watches with the now familiar curved shark logo on the dial, but during the 60s / 70s and 80’s they made watch cases for some of the most famous watch brands in the world, including Doxa, Tag Heuer, Auricoste and Blancpain. The 4’ O Clock crown is synonymous with the Squale case.

This brings us to the mythical and adored Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Military 3H Bund issued dive watch…….the case was made by?…………..Squale of course.

The watch we are proud to offer here is a collaboration between Squale and our good friends at Amsterdam Watch Company (AWCO) which is a Squale Bund Militaire Watch reference 1521 replicating the original Blancpain that they made decades earlier for the German Military Special forces (Bundeswehr Kampfschwimmers)

Released in 2018 as a limited edition of only 40 pieces, and quickly sold out to collectors all around the world. As you can imagine these do not come to market very often so grab your chance to own some serious vintage dive watch history.

Recently serviced and running well. It comes with a booklet and also a C3 pin mimicking the C3 dial.
