Personal Opinion
Love a Skin Diver! This beauty is from Waltham the famous and iconic American watch company that pioneered most of the early watch making in the USA back in the day. It has all the right features that fall into line with dive watches from that period, the case shape, the lugs, and the sweet spot of all the best vintage divers….36 – 40mm. Don’t @ me!
This skin diver has a very similar case to that of the Aquastar Duward and has references with most dive watches of the era. It’s a striking watch with a matte black dial in good condition, the lume is average but it is nearly 50 years old. The case has very light marks and minimal wear, it has aged remarkably well. All original with a bright orange / red / black coke bezel. And the supercool Red seconds hand. It comes on a navy nato which I think works well. The Elgin stamp on the back is interesting and only adds to the Americana vibe. Recently serviced and running well. An American Beauty!
