Personal Opinion

A Mil Spec Icon!
One of my favourite military watches and a must for any collector or even first time buyer in this category. Instantly recognisable with their asymmetrical matte cases and somewhat clear sterile dials. Adanac was produced in the 80’s in a joint military contract between Gallet and Marathon. With the latter making their own identical versions in the 90’s (we have one for sale on the site) Very similar to the vintage 80’s and 90’s Benrus Type 1 and Type II these watches have become very collectible what with their history and very cool military looks. Adanac (Canada spelt backwards) were issued to both the USAF and the Canadian Armed forces. They were issued to their teams due to the rugged nature and its capabilities as a military tool watch. The watch has an unusual 0 – 11 marked bi directional bezel, which makes it look and feel like a hybrid diver / pilots watch. It comes with standard issue military necessities which include a screw down crown, fixed Spring bars and a supposed 660ft water resistance. Not something I would advise testing out with it being nearly 40 years old! The case back shows all the correct and original Government serial numbers and contract numbers.
This handsome all original 1986 version is in fantastic used condition with a beautiful patina. The hands and 24hr dial still retain some of the tritium and lume. This is a stunning example of one of the best valued vintage military watches on the market.
Whoever buys this will not be disappointed. Choose your weapon…..!
