Personal Opinion
Quite possibly the quintessential military issued Chronograph!
It hit’s all the right marks. Great dial, chunky steel case, iconic design, amazing movement and more importantly issued to the German Military in the 1980’s. Plus the luminous indices and the orange pop of the subdials and Chronograph hand.
This Chronograph produced by ARCTOS was based on the need for a watch of the highest reliability. The German Department of Defence commissioned ARCTOS to produce and supply a chronograph for pilots and submarine commanders. ARCTOS watches became official standard equipment of NATO and the German Armed Forces under the NATO reference and supply number 6645 – 12 – 194 – 8642.
Genuinely not sure there is a better looking military issued Chronograph than this one. Very rarely do these watches come onto the market and an opportunity to purchase an absolute stone cold classic. All original including the strap, it will also come with a leather BUND strap.
Whoever buys this one will not be disappointed.
