Personal Opinion

This one is a bit special.
This 1989 Precista Royal Navy diver is vintage Mil Spec issued heaven. These watches were produced in small numbers for only 2 years. 1988 and 1989.
The NATO reference of 6645 – 99 – 757 – 3314 and serial number 2287/89 on the case back confirms and denotes it was issued in 1989. The last year of issue. The slightly larger circled T Dial is also a favourite with collectors
Very few brands were given the chance to issue watches to the Royal Navy but both Precista and CWC were given that opportunity and in doing so replacing the mythical Rolex Mil Sub, and earning the nickname the Mil Sub killer. And what a great job they did, with watches like this becoming rare and extremely collectible for any military watch enthusiast. In good well worn original condition as you would expect with it being well over 30 years old. The case has been left unpolished and the mineral has some very fine nicks, bezel a little stiff but all in all this watch works perfectly and keeps great time. If only watches could talk as this one will have seen some action and has the scars and marks to prove it, this is not spotless but only adds to the authenticity and provenance that go with these amazing watches.  Will be very sad to see this one go, it’s a rare thing and the best priced version on the market currently.
